ReVisiting observations/ Description activity
Sophia got everything right besides the tables, and the supplies on the table. The people holding the paintings and the person on the table. Sophia didn't get the part when I described the table and the utensils on the tables. The reason why she didn't get it is because I described those two things as 2 dimensional figures. If I could do this again I would describe the objects more descriptively.

Giving Up Control: POURS
When we poured the paint on the paper it spread out and we didn't know what to expect because the paint went all over the place and we couldn't really make out what we wanted it to look like so we decided it would be an abstract painting. It felt awkward to give up some control over the shapes we created because I had no idea of what the outcome was going to be but in the end I really liked the outcome and I was glad I decided to take the risk.

Collaborative Drawing
Collaborative Drawing was a very awkward assignment. At first it was easy creating a drawing but when she said get up I knew that something was going to happen. I drew a penguin hiking up a snowy slope overlooking his melting habitat. When I moved and came back I saw a few things that I didn't want like an awkward looking igloo, but I saw a couple of good additions like a shadow and footsteps and in the end although there were some downers to the picture I enjoyed the experience.

What makes someone an artist? (An artist is someone who...)What does it mean to be creative? (To be creative is to...)Describe at least 3 or 4 things an artist needs to be creative and productive. (An artist needs...)
Utensils and equipment do not make someone an artist; their ability to create something from nothing makes them an artist. There are other aspects to being an artist rather than drawing; artists need to have a wide range of thoughts and creativity. To be creative means to construct something original using your imagination and innovation. An artist needs creativity, an open mind, dedication and concentration to be creative and productive.
